Transformative music for a fast-paced world - a rich oasis of vivid soundscapes to transport you to a realm of serenity, peace and calm

Take a classically-trained Indian violinist/composer and producer and British-born, former US based singer/songwriter from the world of soul music...create vivid soundscapes and music that is at once soothing, calming and with healing energy...and you have David Nathan featuring Aritra B! It may seem like an 'odd' pairing at first glance and yet the music has brought some amazing responses. Commenting on the pair's first track, the commercially-released '(Echoes Of) Shambhala,' global music legend and multiple Grammy winner, Chaka Khan says, "Shambhala is one of the most BEAUTIFUL songs I've EVER HEARD!!!!!! I'm profoundly impressed and it moved me in such a way that I'm changed (for lack of a better word) so now I'm needing more!!"

BIO INFO Kolkata-born Aritra Bhattacharya started learning Western classical violin at the age of 5 at the same time being trained in Indian classical vocal styles. Moving to the UK, he went to the London College Of Music (LCM) to further his violin studies and then the Royal College of Music, studying composition. Since 2012, he has performed at various venues throughout the UK and began producing and writing music for various independent artists from India, the US and Britain. Speaking about this EP, he says, “I am really proud of the work I have done with David. I think the compositions are unique and evoke a lot of emotion, creating a feeling of serenity and calmness.”

London-born David Nathan's lifelong passion for soul music has expressed itself through his work as a journalist, author and historian over several decades; his ever-present love for singing began to manifest in recordings and performances in the '70s, '80s and '90s, culminating the 2003 release of his critically-acclaimed CD, "Reinvention." Two subsequent albums - 2007's "Wistful Elegance" (produced by US award-winning songwriter/producer Preston Glass) and 2011's "I Used To Rule The World," a collection of soulful intepretations of classic and contemporary songs and an EP tribute to musical mentor, the legendary Nina Simone, provided David with the encouragement to continue his creative journey. David considers the work on this EP "to be absolutely the best recordings I have ever done. Working with Aritra has been an amazing experience and getting the response to our music from a legend like Chaka Khan has been simply amazing."
